Leave it all on the field
After two hard loses the Miami Fury was ready to redeem themselves vs. the Dallas Diamonds. The initial kick-off pushed the Diamonds passed the Fury with a score of 7-0. Miami Fury had to retaliate immediately. After a couple of ball possessions, the Miami Fury managed to score a touchdown. The score at the end of the 1st quarter was 7-6, Diamonds lead. The Diamonds’ throwing ability and the Fury’s running strategy allowed the 1st quarter to be anybodies game.
The Dallas Diamonds secured the game in the third quarter by roughly averaging two touchdowns per quarter, while the Miami Fury remained with 6 points. Towards the end of this quarter the Diamonds had an extended lead. On the Miami Fury’s team, frustration and errors arose during the fight to close the gap. Miami Fury’s determination caused a few players to get injured, but all of these ladies walked off the field with their heads held high and all regrets left on the field. The final score was 48-6, Dallas Diamonds.
Next week the Miami Fury plans to strategize and recuperate so they can thrash their rivals, the Palm Beach Punishers. Fans are always welcomed so please come out and support the Miami Fury. (B. Parker)
